👋 Hey, Egemen here.
Three founders sent me their pricing pages last week. All three had the same button sitting at the top of the page. Book a demo. Two of the three have no revenue yet.

Every sales leader knows the feeling. You walk into a pipeline review with a number you believe in, and twenty minutes later, you're defending every line item to a CEO who just wants to know what's actually going to close.
HubSpot Sales Hub ends that conversation. Every deal, every rep's activity, and every buyer signal are all in one place and updated automatically. So your forecast is built on what's actually happening. And when you present that number, you can stand behind it.

🧠 Deep-Dive: The Short Yes
ICONIQ built its 2026 State of GTM off more than 150 B2B software leaders, early stage through late. One number in it should change your quarter. Free trial and proof-of-concept conversion reached roughly 50% this year, up from about 36% in 2025. The path most seed founders still build their site around, qualified lead into a booked demo, converts at 30% to 40%.
Here is the part every summary of this report leaves out. ICONIQ found the six weeks of compression running alongside shorter contracts. Terms under one year are rising, and buyers gave a plain reason for it. Nobody wants to sign three years for a product that gets replaced by its own next version. Six weeks did not come free.
You traded a slow yes for a short one, and the risk moved off your pipeline and onto your renewal.
So do two things this month. Rerun customer acquisition payback on a nine-month term instead of the one sitting in your model. If payback lands past month nine, cut the cost of getting somebody into the trial before you add anyone to quota.
Then move your activation trigger off day fourteen and onto the first real outcome your product produces, because that outcome is the thing your buyer renews on.
👉 Trials now convert at 50% while contracts shrink under a year. Rerun your payback math on a nine-month term this week, then put the next hire on retention instead of on quota.

HiddenLayer is the scale of the week! Delta-v Capital led the round. Ten Eleven Ventures, Morgan Stanley, Microsoft's M12 and Booz Allen Ventures came along. Crunchbase puts the company's total at $156.2 million.
HiddenLayer sells security for AI systems. It scans models and the files they ship inside, then watches agents while they run. The new money funds Agent Harness Security, a product built to protect companies that have put autonomous coding agents into their own stack.
